Bayside and Mornington Peninsula locals are set to benefit from a new and improved hub for vital justice services thanks to support from the Allan Labor Government.
Minister for Corrections and Youth Justice Enver Erdogan visited the Frankston Justice Service Centre to officially open the centrally located and multi-service facility.
The centre is home to community correctional services and youth justice case managers who oversee adults and young people that have been ordered by a court to participate in rehabilitation programs.
People on community-based sentences serve their sentence in the community and are required to participate in unpaid community work, alcohol and other drug services, mental health treatment or programs to address offending behaviour.
Located on the Nepean Highway in the same block as other important justice services including the Frankston Magistrates’ Court and the Victoria Police Complex, it is also close to public transport - making it easy for people to access.
The building is also shared with the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing which means individuals and families who may be involved in community justice programs can also access social service supports, like housing, in the one location.
Redevelopment of the $3.4 million centre began in November 2023 and was completed ahead of schedule in February 2025.
