Every Victorian child deserves the best start in life.
And every family deserves a service that works around them.
The Carroll Labor Government is backing the nurses who make that happen, with a new digital platform for the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) service.
Minister for Children Lizzie Blandthorn today announced the Maternal and Child Health Application (MACHA).
MACHA will help MCH nurses share information and make referrals with hospitals, councils and other support services.
They will also be able to access MCH and other support services in another part of Victoria if they have temporarily moved.
MACHA was designed with MCH nurses.
Their decades of frontline experience sit at the heart of the platform.
Nurses will get access from December through a dedicated training and transition environment.
That gives them time to learn the system and build confidence before the statewide rollout from March next year.
MACHA is part of the Government’s children’s digital reform program.
It will connect with the Parent Portal, a one-stop shop for trusted information, services and support for parents and carers.
Only Labor is delivering for the health of our children.
