Applications For Disability Self Help Grants Now Open

04 June 2019

The Andrews Labor Government is taking action to better support dedicated groups who strive to improve the lives of people living with a disability.

Applications are now open for the latest round of Disability Self Help Grants, to help strengthen self help groups for people with disability and their families across Victoria.

A total of almost $250,000 is available for grants of up to $10,000 each over two years.

The funding will assist disability self-help groups with general expenses and running costs, as well as minor works and equipment.

Self-help groups bring people with disability and their families together to share insights, provide information, promote community participation and support networking.

This year’s funding round will prioritise groups representing diverse communities, as well as those in rural and regional Victoria, to ensure all Victorians with disability and their families have access to self-help supports.

Applications close on July 12.
