A few weeks before the 2014 State Election - when there were padlocks and chains outside Lilydale TAFE - I said these words at our campaign launch:
"Gough Whitlam built our TAFE system and I refuse to sit back and watch it die."
I meant it.
Today, TAFEs around the state are back on their feet.
Young people know it's a real option again - a real pathway to good, stable jobs.
We're proud of our TAFE system, and we want everyone to hear it.
