Tim Eddy Appointed To Board Of Racing Victoria

The board of Racing Victoria has been strengthened with the appointment of senior business leader Tim Eddy.

Minister for Racing Martin Pakula today announced that Mr Eddy would replace Michael Andrew, who passed away in June after providing three years of service to the Racing Victoria board.

Mr Eddy has 40 years’ experience leading and managing professional services, change management and governance operations, and has a long-held passion for horse racing.

He holds executive and non-executive advisory roles with a range of private and government organisations and was formerly managing partner of Oceania operations with Ernst and Young, and vice chair of Ernst and Young’s global operations.

Mr Eddy has qualifications from Melbourne University, and the London and Harvard business schools.

He joins chair Brian Kruger, deputy chair Mike Hirst, Rowen Craigie, Kate Joel, Ross Lanyon, Sharon McCrohan and Greg Nichols on the Racing Victoria board.

Racing Victoria is the independent governing body for the Victorian thoroughbred racing industry, which supports more than 25,000 full-time equivalent jobs across the state.

Its objectives are to develop, encourage, promote and manage the conduct of thoroughbred racing by encouraging broad participation and sustainably growing the industry’s social and economic value.
