State-Wide Boost For Regional Transport Facilities

22 September 2017

The Andrews Labor Government is making it easier for regional passengers to get around by delivering bus and station improvements state-wide.

Minister for Public Transport Jacinta Allan announced today that Ace Infrastructure and Keystone Civil will deliver the upgrades through the Labor Government’s $22.5 million Road and Rail Minor Works Program.

Over 900 formal car parking spaces, new and upgraded bus shelters, passenger information displays, bike hoops and Parkiteer cages will be delivered to stations in Barwon South West, Gippsland, the Grampians, Hume and the Loddon Mallee regions.

This announcement comes as the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments will partner to deliver $1.6 billion in regional rail upgrades.
