28 June 2018

The Andrews Labor Government will turn Seaford North Primary School into a local neighbourhood hub, with construction on track for a new competition-grade gym and performing arts centre.

Minister for Education James Merlino and Member for Carrum Sonya Kilkenny today turned the sod of the $5 million project to deliver the state-of-the-art facilities to the Seaford North community.

Local clubs and groups can also access the recreation and art facilities, which have been designed by MSM & Associates and will be built by Newpol Constructions, with completion forecast for May 2019.

The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every community can access a great local school where students are supported to achieve their best.

There are now 70 new schools across Victoria in the construction pipeline and more than 1,300 building projects under way – after an unprecedented $3.8 billion Government investment.
