New Chair And Deputy Chair For VicForests

Minister for Agriculture and Regional Development Jaala Pulford today announced the appointment of Michael Humphris as the new Chair and Therese Ryan as Deputy Chair of VicForests.

VicForests is responsible for the sustainable harvest, regrowing and commercial sale of timber from Victoria’s public native forests.

With more than 35 years’ of audit, finance and advisory experience, Mr Humphris boasts excellent skills in asset management, business advice and strategic planning.

Mr Humphris was first appointed to the VicForests board in 2012 and took over as Acting Chair when Gordon Davis resigned in April 2016.

He was appointed Chair following an open and transparent recruitment process which attracted a strong field of candidates.

Ms Ryan is an existing VicForests Director and brings more than three decades of extensive experience as a senior business executive and commercial lawyer to the position.
