French Agribusiness To Set Up Shop In Victoria

Victoria is set to become home to yet another headquarters with French agricultural company Timac Agro Australia announcing it will establish its Australian base in Caulfield – creating 30 new jobs.

With a presence in every continent, Timac Agro is now established in 42 countries worldwide and provides agricultural solutions to 17,250 farmers and breeders every day.

Timac Agro Australia specialises in plant and animal nutrition, and will bring its world-class expertise in crop nutrition, soil conditioning and fertiliser efficiency to farmers across Victoria and Australia.

The Andrews Labor Government helped secure the Timac Agro Australia headquarters by facilitating industry introductions and site location opportunities.

International investment is crucial to helping Victoria grow its agribusiness and agriculture sectors, and is at the heart of the Labor Government’s jobs agenda.

Victoria’s agricultural sector exports nearly $12 billion in food and fibre products each year and employs about 190,000 people.

The Government is increasing support through research and development, assistance for farmers, biosecurity protection and improving market access to export destinations.

Timac Agro Australia joins a growing list of leading domestic and international companies that have chosen to call Victoria home including David Jones, NewCold, Culture Amp and GoPro.
