Designs For Miners Rest Primary School Published

Plans for the Miners Rest Primary School took a big step forward today with the release of designs for the school’s expansion.

Minister for Education James Merlino and Member for Western Victoria Jaala Pulford today released architectural designs for an upgrade and expansion of the school.

The new designs include a new competition grade gymnasium and football oval which will be accessible by the broader community after-hours.

The plans also include 10 new classrooms, new entry and administration, arts room, music room, food tech facilities, kitchen veggie garden, and landscaped open play areas.

The designs are informed by feedback from the community after an extensive consultation process.

The Labor Government has invested $6.2 million to buy land and begin planning this project.

The Labor Government has invested $6.1 billion to deliver more than 1,400 school upgrades and supporting more than 7,500 construction jobs for Victorians.

Under this school building boom, a total of 100 new schools will open by 2026, ensuring every child can access a great local school where they can achieve their best.
