The Andrews Labor Government is helping Victoria’s Hindu communities celebrate and share their traditions thanks to a new round of funding.
Minister for Multicultural Affairs Richard Wynne said 25 projects have been funded through the 2019-20 Hindu Festivals and Events Fund, fulfilling a key election commitment.
They include festivals, performances and other events that celebrate Hinduism in Victoria, such as:
- Ballarat’s Holi Festival 2020
- The Basant Panchami – Saraswati Puja Hindu Festival in Wyndham
Launched by the Labor Government in July 2019, the $200,000 fund will support Hindu celebrations over four years.
