Mental health and alcohol and other drug facilities across the state will get a facelift thanks to new funding from the Andrews Labor Government.
Applications are open for the Labor Government’s Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Facilities Renewal Grants.
The grants are drawn from a $10 million fund aimed at supporting organisations to provide the best, recovery-oriented services for Victorians.
AOD organisations can now apply for up to $100,000, while mental health organisations can receive up to $500,000.
The grants will support building works, refurbishment projects and equipment to ensure facilities meet the needs of their local communities.
Previous grant recipients include the Alfred Hospital, which used funding to refurbish their High Dependency Unit. Latrobe Valley Community Health Service used its funding to accommodate new clinical and peer support staff, and build consultation rooms for clients.
The grants are part of the third stage of the Government's $180 million Ice Action Plan.
Organisations can apply at – applications close on March 26, 2018.
