Minister for Education, James Merlino, today opened a conference on innovative and world-leading educational practices which has drawn hundreds of professionals from across Australia and around the world.

The Reggio Emilia Australia Information Exchange 8th Biennial Conference provides early childhood and school professionals the opportunity to learn from each other, and discuss learning and research in the Reggio Emilia educational approach.

The 2015 conference theme is ‘Landscapes of Imagination’ and will explore the curiosity and imagination of children as they interact with the arts and sciences, identity and transformation.

Conference delegates were also invited to take part in educational visits to see early childhood education and care services, and primary schools ‘in action.’
