Upgrading The Sorrento Foreshore

24 February 2017

The Sorrento Foreshore has undergone a dramatic transformation thanks to a new $850,000 seawall and the reopening of the iconic Sorrento Baths Café.

The new seawall design features coloured concrete steps and creates a new meeting point for people to comfortably sit at the water’s edge.

Six months of works to construct the seawall concluded in December last year, with further landscaping recently completed.

The new seawall design, landscaping and reopening of the Sorrento Baths Café improves the look and amenity of the Sorrento Foreshore Reserve by providing a wider promenade and creating more seating and bayside viewing locations.

A beach renourishment was also completed at Sorrento West Beach last year widening it between the boat ramp and the Sea Road Ferries terminal by around 12 metres.
