The Andrews Labor Government is taking the next step in reforming Victoria’s training and TAFE system with the launch of TAFE Victoria.
For the first time, a new, united brand will position TAFEs as modern, contemporary institutions that all Victorian can access to get the real training they need to get a real job.
Victoria’s 12 TAFEs and four dual-sector universities will remain individual institutions, bolstered by a new brand giving them a strong collective voice as the centre of the government-funded training system.
It’ll help TAFEs promote the hundreds of high-quality, industry linked courses on offer and will show students and industry that TAFEs are government-backed providers, each with their own unique expertise and specialisation.
As part of the TAFE Victoria launch, successful chefs, media professionals and business leaders are lending their voices to a new campaign opening Victorians' eyes to the opportunities TAFE has to offer.
The TAFE will take you there campaign tells the stories of everyday graduates who have taken the skills they learnt at a Victorian TAFE to the world.
22 TAFE Victoria Ambassadors will also share their experience of a TAFE education, inspiring others to take the same path.
The new website, also launched today, will feature every TAFE course offered by TAFEs and dual-sector university in Victoria.
With the introduction of Skills First last month, the Labor Government is overhauling Victoria’s training and TAFE system, guaranteeing funding to secure the future of TAFE and making sure Victorians have the right skills for the jobs of the future.
Skills First builds on the government’s investment in TAFE over the last two years - including new buildings, reopening campuses, new courses and the latest cutting edge equipment.
