The Andrews Labor Government is aware that private training provider Sage Institute of Fitness has ceased trading in Queensland and New South Wales and suspended training in Victoria for seven days.
Since it went into voluntary administration in early February, Sage Institute has continued to train while the administrators explored options for continuing training.
The administrators are examining opportunities to support students to continue training in Victoria and expect a decision on this within the next week.
Students are our number one priority. The Department of Education and Training are continuing to work with the administrator to safeguard students’ interests.
The department is ready to help Victorian Government funded students transition to a TAFE or another training provider contracted by the department to complete their training in the event Sage does decide to cease training in Victoria.
