Peter White Reappointed Coroner

Attorney-General Martin Pakula today announced the reappointment of Peter White to the Coroners Court, following his diligent work as a Coroner in Victoria over the last eight years.

Mr White graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Laws in 1971 and was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1973.

He has broad knowledge across the law with more than 40 years of experience, including work in countries such as Papua New Guinea and Hong Kong.

Mr White built up his career in Papua New Guinea serving as Civil Litigation Counsel, a Crown Prosecutor and Senior Magistrate.

While in Hong Kong he spent four years as a Coroner, before he moved back to Australia to take on his role with the Coroners Court of Victoria in 2007.
