Murray River Organics Ripe For Growth

19 June 2017

A leading global supplier of organically-certified dried vine fruit will create 75 new jobs and establish its headquarters in Victoria, as the Andrews Labor Government lures more investment to our great state.

Murray River Organics will establish a new packaging and distribution facility and a corporate office in Dandenong South as part of a $4.5 million expansion.

The company was founded in 2010 with the purchase of a 72-acre certified organic dried vine fruit vineyard in Sunraysia, Victoria.

Murray River Organics has since grown to control more than 12,400 acres – making it the largest vertically integrated producer of organic dried vine fruit in the world.

The company currently employs more than 120 staff, with sales offices in Europe, the USA, Japan and China, servicing customers in 26 countries.

Victoria is Australia’s largest exporter of food and fibre products, with exports worth $12 billion and more than 190,000 Victorians employed across the sector.

The Labor Government’s flagship Investment Attraction and Assistance Program, which helps businesses set up shop in Victoria, received an additional $90 million in the Victorian Budget 2017/18.
