Modern Buildings On The Way For Parktone Primary School

20 April 2016

Students at Parktone Primary School will enjoy more modern buildings, as the Andrews Labor Government continues to make Victoria the Education State.

Minister for Education James Merlino and Member for Mordialloc Tim Richardson MP today announced $4 million from the 2016/17 Victorian Budget will go towards a new multi-purpose hall and classrooms, ensuring students have the modern spaces they need to learn.

It’s the latest step in making Victoria the Education State, where every student gets the chance to fulfil their potential and can access a school with great facilities.

Building, fixing, upgrading, and modernising Victoria’s schools gives our students and teachers the learning environment they need to achieve their best.

Throughout the state, hundreds of new school infrastructure projects are underway, just like the one about to start at Parktone Primary School.

“I know Parktone Primary School is doing great work and this funding will support its wonderful school community, helping it to become even better.”

“In recent years Parktone Primary has grown from just over 100 students a few years back, to over 500 students in 2016. Student enrolments have increased by 500%, placing significant pressures on the existing buildings, facilities and grounds. This funding will ensure they have the fantastic learning spaces they deserve for the future.
