Minister for Gaming, Consumer Affairs and Minister Assisting the Premier on Veterans' Affairs Tony was born in 1962 and is married with 2 children. He completed a Bachelor of Arts at Monash University in 1989 and completed his Master of Arts at Monash University in 1993. Prior to entering Parliament, Tony was a SECV Survey Field Assistant security guard & crowd controller while at university, electorate officer and Private Secretary to State Opposition Leader from 1994 to 1996. Tony ran for the Federal Seat of Chisholm at the 1996 election and was elected as ALP Member for Mitcham at a by-election in December 1997. Previous to his current Ministerial responsibilities, Tony was appointed Parliamentary Secretary for State & Regional Development in 1999, Parliamentary Secretary for Treasury & Finance in 2002 and Cabinet Secretary (Assisting Premier on Veterans Affairs) from 2006-2007. Tony is a member of the Lions Club of Nunawading, Victorian Racing Club Australian Racing Museum and various local sporting and community groups. | ||
