Minister for Water, Finance (including WorkCover/Transport Accident Commission) Tourism and Major Events Tim Holding is Victoria's Minister for Water, Minister for Finance, WorkCover and the TAC and Minister for Tourism and Major Events. Elected to Parliament in 1999, Tim currently represents the Legislative Assembly seat of Lyndhurst in Melbourne's south east. He has a background in public policy and a law degree from the University of Melbourne; was elected as a councillor for the City of Waverley at the age of 19, and has served in the Australian Defence Force as a member of the Army Reserve. Prior to his current portfolio, he held Cabinet positions as Minister for Manufacturing and Export and Minister for the Financial Services Industry, Minister for Police & Emergency Services and Minister for Corrections, as well as Minister for Information and Communication Technology. He has served as National President of Australian Young Labor; is a former assistant adviser for the Minister of Defence; and has served on a number of Parliamentary committees. | ||
