The Brumby Labor Government has opened more building tenders for construction in 500 Victorian government schools to help stimulate the economy and the construction industry through the Federal Government’s Building the Education Revolution.

Education Minister Bronwyn Pike announced today that CSG Services Pty Ltd will join forces with the Brumby Labor Government to deliver the Ultranet project to every Victorian government school and to secure more than 55 new jobs over the next year.

Some of Victoria’s most disadvantaged Government secondary schools will share in $198 million to build state-of-the-art Science and Language Centres at 109 Victorian schools under the Federal Government’s $1 billion funding initiative as part of the Building the Education Revolution program.

The Brumby Labor Government has signed contracts worth more than $450 million that will secure more than 1500 Victorian jobs and see construction start soon at hundreds of government schools cross the state as part of Round 1 of the massive Building the Education Revolution school rebuilding program.
