The Brumby Government has today helped mark the 100th anniversary of
Victorian women’s right to vote by honouring women who have made
outstanding contributions to the Gippsland community.
A new bus service to connect people living in the Colac area to
employment and recreational opportunities in Lorne will operate seven
days a week this summer.
Volunteering in the Geelong region got a Brumby Government boost today,
with four community organisations receiving Victorian Volunteer Small
Grants (VVSG) of up to $5000.
More than 500 Frankston residents aged over 55 have contributed their
experience and wisdom, not only to the fabric of the community, but now
into the fabric of a new community quilt.
