The Brumby Government has launched the new Victorian Blackberry
Strategy for 2008-2013 to help tackle one of state’s most destructive
and challenging weeds.
Young farmers in north-east Victoria’s Myrtleford district are emerging

The new committee members to the North East Wild Dog Management Group
(NEWDMG) and the Gippsland Wild Dog Management Group (GWDMG) have been
announced today as part of the Brumby Government’s ongoing commitment
to wild dog management.
Agriculture Minister Joe Helper today met with vegetables growers from
the Bonaccord farm at Lindenow South to see the progress of work on
farms damaged in the 2007 Gippsland floods.
The Auditor-General has confirmed that Victoria leads the rest of
Australia in identifying and managing biosecurity risks for the
livestock industry, Agriculture Minister Joe Helper said today.
