Five major planning permits have been approved for Australia’s largest urban renewal area, Fishermans Bend. The permits, which include the construction of 11 buildings, have been approved by Planning Minister Matthew Guy. The new buildings are in the Montague precinct and adjacent to the new Melbourne Rail Link underground metro station. 
 
Planning Minister Matthew Guy today announced a new port planning zone for three of Victoria’s major ports: Geelong, Hastings and Portland. 
 
Construction of the new suburb of Harpley in Wyndham Vale will provide 4,000 new homes, a new waterfront town centre and create $1 billion worth of construction activity over the life of the development, Planning Minister Matthew Guy has said.

Victoria’s building boom is continuing at a strong pace according to new Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) figures, Planning Minister Matthew Guy said today.
