Announcing the opening for applications of the Awards this week, Minister Dalla-Riva said the awards recognised local companies at the top of their exporting field.

"It can give you access to new resources and new markets, and help to underpin companies ongoing export success," Mr Dalla-Riva said.
Now in its 32nd year, the Governor of Victoria Export Awards are presented across 14 categories during a formal ceremony at Government House in October.

"To do this, we are going to increase funding for more clearly targeted existing programs and deliver new strategies," Mr Dalla-Riva said.
"We are also delighted to again be part of this exciting Awards program which celebrates the excellence and achievement of our very best exporters.
"I encourage all Victorian exporters to support the 2011 Governor of Victoria Export Awards and look forward to discovering more world-class export stories that are unfolding across this state," Mr Dalla-Riva said.
