Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business Louise Asher today reminded Victorian businesses and households that daylight saving will commence this Sunday 7 October 2012.
“Daylight saving will start in Victoria at 2:00 am this coming Sunday so people should turn their clocks forward one hour when they go to bed on Saturday night,” Ms Asher said.
“Daylight saving will also commence in South Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.”
Households and businesses are also reminded that daylight saving is a good opportunity to check the batteries in smoke detectors.
Daylight saving will finish on Sunday 7 April 2013.
