Nigel Hadgkiss appointed Director of Construction Code Compliance
Minister for Finance Robert Clark today announced the appointment of Nigel Hadgkiss as Director of Construction Code Compliance at the Department of Treasury and Finance.
"Mr Hadgkiss brings with him extensive experience in the construction industry, having served a total of six years as the Deputy Commissioner of the Australian Building and Construction Commission from 2005 to 2008 and previously the Director of the Commonwealth's Building Industry Taskforce from 2002 to 2005," Mr Clark said.
"Mr Hadgkiss' most recent position was as an Executive Director at the NSW Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. He has also served as an Assistant Commissioner for the Australian Federal Police."
Mr Hadgkiss commences his appointment from Tuesday 13 March.
Mr Hadgkiss' appointment follows the Premier's announcement last year of a comprehensive overhaul of the State Industrial Relations Principles and Code of Practice to develop new building and construction industry guidelines that focus on productivity, safety, freedom of association and compliance with the law.
