A biotechnology company will create new jobs, transition existing staff and increase its exports by over $2 million thanks to funding from the Andrews Labor Government.
Visiting dorsaVi Limited in East Melbourne, Parliamentary Secretary for Medical Research Frank McGuire announced a $350,000 boost for the company to establish a new manufacturing facility and purchase and install new equipment.
Victoria has a long and proud history of manufacturing and the Labor Government is working hard to create jobs and support Victoria’s high growth industries that will help transition our economy towards an advanced manufacturing state.
This grant builds on the 10 projects already underway as part of the Labor Government’s Future Industries Manufacturing Program which collectively will create 77 new full time jobs.
Companies can apply for grants of up to $500,000 under the program to invest in new manufacturing technologies and processes that will create jobs and increase productivity.

dorsaVi technology develops innovative motion analysis device technologies for use in elite sports, occupational health and safety, and clinical applications.
The technology has also been adopted by physiotherapy groups and multinational corporations across the globe and is currently being used by a number of AFL, EPL, NRL and NBA clubs.
