Funding Boost For Maryborough Community House

11 September 2015

The Parliamentary Secretary for Health, Mary-Anne Thomas, has today announced $126,000 of funding for the Maryborough Community House.

The Community House is over 30 years old and is in dire need of an upgrade so it can continue to deliver valuable services and programs to the community.

Funded by the Andrews Labor Government, this grant will upgrade kitchen and toilet facilities to make them accessible for all users and add further meeting and office space.

This will enable the Maryborough Community House to provide a broader range of programs and activities, as well as being fully inclusive and accessible.

There are over 350 neighbourhood and community houses across Victoria. They are community run and volunteer based, which bring people together and run social, educational, recreational and support activities.
