Expression Of Interest Released For Southland Station

25 May 2015

Expression of Interest (EOI) for the detailed design and construction of Southland Station has been released to market.

Minister for Public Transport, Jacinta Allan, said the EOI was a major step forward in this critical project, which will provide thousands of passengers a direct link to the shopping centre for the first time.

Public Transport Victoria (PTV) is collating and analysing feedback received from residents and key stakeholders during community consultation held in recent months.

This feedback will be considered in the final design of the station, which will be developed by the contractor identified through the EOI process and released later this year.

Southland Station will be modern, safe and accessible for everyone with:

  • ramp and stair access to both platforms
  • a pedestrian underpass
  • a freestanding automated toilet
  • seating and shelter on the platforms
  • CCTV cameras
  • Protective Services Officer (PSO) facilities.

The EOI will be issued on Tenderlink and advertised for three weeks. Companies registered with Tenderlink are encouraged to submit their interest.
