Community Cabinet

We are committed to providing a more accountable Government that listens and responds to issues which are important to local communities. To honour this commitment Community Cabinet meetings are held throughout the year. This program commenced in 1999.

Community Cabinet bridges the gap between the Government and the people. It makes Government more accessible to local communities, ultimately strengthening the democratic process in Victoria.

How does Community Cabinet work? Ministers meet with local community groups, organisations and individuals to discuss local issues. This section details what to expect on the day.

The Premier’s Statement explains the role of Community Cabinet and encourages your involvement.

The Victorian Government encourages individuals and community groups to take part in the program.

The next Community Cabinet has not been announced.

For information on the June Community Cabinet view the newsletter for the Gippsland Community Cabinet .

The Victorian Government is listening and responding to the matters important to you and your community.
