The Barwon South West region takes in the Western District of Victoria and covers the natural and built environment from the South Australian border to Geelong and Queenscliff and from the south coast to the Southern Grampians.
Some of the projects the Brumby Government is taking action to secure water for all Victorians communities include:

1.Victorian water plan- Water grid - Pipelines to connect Hamilton and Geelong to new supplies.
2.Funded the Shell Recycling project.
3.Water Smart Farms - 8,731 ML has been saved.
4.Set target for industry to reduce water use by 10%.
5.Over $15 million for the Country Towns Water Supply & Sewerage.
6.Great Ocean Road Estuary Restoration.
