The Barwon South West region takes in the Western District of Victoria and covers the natural and built environment from the South Australian border to Geelong and Queenscliff and from the south coast to the Southern Grampians.
Some of the projects where the Brumby Government is taking action on roads and public transport include:

1.$700,000 upgrade of Lara Railway Station.
2.Opening of the new Sherwood Park Railway Station at Warrnambool.
3.Regional Fast Rail services to Geelong.
4.Delivery of the Gelong Ring Road.
5.Duplicate Midland Highway between Anakie Rd and the Geelong Ring Road.
6.Reduce the cost of V/Line tickets by on average 20%.
