The Grampians region is bounded by the Grampians National Park and South Australian border to the west, through the towns of Horsham, Nhill, Dimboola, Stawell, Ararat, Daylesford, Ballarat to Bacchus Marsh just outside Melbourne and from Patchewollock in the north to Lake Bolac in the south. 

Some of the projects the Brumby Government is taking action on to make sure the streets are safe include:

1.

Recently provided funding for the replacement of the Police Station at Ararat.

2.

Recently provided funding to replace and upgrade 18 CFA stations including Halls Gap CFA.

3.

Recently provided funding to replace and upgrade seven SES facilities including building the Hepburn Shires first SES unit at Daylesford.

4.

Refurbished Clunes Police Station.

5.

Introduced new hoon and graffiti legislation.

6.

Allocated a $10 million fund to supply Victoria Police with new weapons.
