The Gippsland region stretches along the coast from the New South Wales border to Venus Bay and Wilsons' Promontory. It takes in towns such as Warragul, Moe, Traralgon, Omeo, Foster and Orbost.
Some of the projects the Brumby Government is taking action on to make sure the streets are safe include:

1.Recently provided funding for the replacement of the Police Station at Foster.
2.Recently provided funding to replace and upgrade 18 CFA stations including Traralgon CFA.
3.Introduced new hoon and graffiti legislation.
4.Recently provided funding to replace and upgrade seven SES facilities including Moe SES.
5.Allocated a $10 million fund to provide Victoria Police with new weapons.
6.Rebuilt Bairnsdale Police Station, Bendoc Police Station, Bruthen Police Station, Buchan Police Station, Cann River Police Station and Swifts Creek Police Station.
